Once your flights touches down at Paphos Airport, the aircraft will taxi to the Apron and park in the parking bay to which it has been allocated. Passengers will then be required to remain seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stand still and the ‘Fasten Seatbelt’ sign has been switched off. Once the aircraft is in position, the ground staff at the airport will attach the staircase for passengers to disembark the aircraft.
When it is safe to disembark the aircraft, the cabin staff will inform passengers and you can then make your way to the exit doors. You will then need to make your way to the main terminal building and this generally requires a short walk from the aircraft to the Terminal building. If you require assistance from the aircraft to the Terminal building, it is recommended that you contact the airline or airport prior to your departure date. This will ensure that there will be a member of staff waiting to assist you on your arrival.
Security And Passport Control At Paphos Airport Arrivals
As with any other International airport, you will then be required to produce your passport and clear passport control before proceeding through into the main Arrivals area of the Terminal. This process does not take too long and obviously depend on how busy the airport is and how many flights have just landed. The Baggage Reclaim are is where you can collect any luggage that you may have checked-in for your flight. The Main Arrivals Lobby Area At Paphos Airport
The main Arrivals Lobby area at the airport is the main meeting and greeting point for passengers arriving at Paphos. If you are being collected from the airport by a family member of friend, then this is the place where you will normally be greeted. If you have booked your holiday through a tour operator and your transfer is included, this is where you will be able to find your holiday representative. They will then point you in the right direction to your coach or other form of transport.
The main Arrivals Lobby area at Paphos Airport is not big and it is very easy to find everything you may need before your onward journey.
Car Hire Companies At Paphos Airport Arrivals
Many car hire companies have desks located inside the airport Arrivals area and as you enter the main Arrivals lobby, you see to your left several car hire company desks Europcar, Sixt, Budget and Astra Car Rental and to your right, you will see Avis and Hertz.
If you have pre-booked your car hire from Paphos Airport in advance (which is always advisable), you will need to make your way to the appropriate car hire desk to which you booked your car hire with. You will be required to present your driving licence and any other documentation you have been asked to provide on your arrival such as a valid credit card, booking reference/form or voucher. You will then need to complete the required paper work and will then be issued with the keys to your vehicle. A member of staff will then direct you to your car which is usually parked in the car park opposite the main Terminal.

Outside The Main Arrivals Area
Passenger have a choice of transport to and from the airport and taxis and local bus service can be found directly outside the main Arrivals area.
Taxi wait outside the main Arrivals area and if you are wanting to catch a taxi from the airport to your chosen destination, simply make your way to the taxis. It is advisable to ask the taxi driver how much the fare will be before you actually get in the taxi. Taxi fares are determined by the distanced travelled and each destination will vary in price.
Bus Services From Paphos Airport
There is a local bus service available that connect passengers from the airport to the centre of Paphos. The bus services run at regular interval throughout the day and run to the harbour in Paphos and the centre itself. The cost of a single fare is €1 (at the time of writing), which means it is a very cost effective form of transfer to and from the airport, especially if you are travelling alone.
